Personalized Stockholm Marathon Strava poster as marathon gift
The perfect gift

A gift that marks the Olympic Stadium finish.

The Stockholm Marathon is the only race in the world where you finish on the track of an Olympic Stadium that is still standing from the original 1912 Games. That is not a generic marathon moment. A custom Strava poster of that exact route, with their finish time and name, is a gift that holds the weight of the occasion.

  • The full Stockholm Marathon course, including the Olympic Stadium finish, is preloaded
  • Connect Strava to use their personal GPS trace from race day instead
  • Add their name, finish time, and a short personal message
  • Download a digital file or order a printed poster ready to hang
  • No login required from them. If their activity is public or visible to you as a follower, export the GPX right from the activity page. See our gift guide for the full steps

“The Olympic Stadium finish was the whole reason I chose Stockholm. I wanted something to properly mark it, not just a photo on my phone. This poster is exactly what I had in mind. Ordered the print and it went straight on the wall.”

The race

What makes the Stockholm Marathon special.

The adidas Stockholm Marathon is a race built around one of the most extraordinary finish lines in sport: the 1912 Olympic Stadium. The course circles Djurgården island, follows the Strandvägen waterfront, crosses the cobblestones of Gamla Stan, and runs in late June under the long Nordic light when the sun barely sets. It is a race with a sense of occasion that most events simply cannot match.

🏟️

Finish on the 1912 Olympic track

The race ends on the athletics track of the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1912 Summer Games and still in use today. There is no other marathon finish quite like it.

🌇

Gamla Stan and Strandvägen

The course crosses the cobblestone streets of the Old Town and follows the Strandvägen waterfront boulevard, with views across the water toward the archipelago.

🏆

Sweden's largest running event

Around 20,000 runners from over 100 countries take part every June. The race has been held since 1979 and carries a reputation that extends well beyond Scandinavia.

🏛️

Past City Hall and the Nobel banquet venue

The route passes Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquet is hosted every December. Running past it in race conditions gives you a different perspective on the building.

☀️

Late June: the sun barely sets

The race is held in late June, when the Nordic light stretches through the evening. Runners finish in a warm golden light that is particular to this time of year, this far north.

Questions people ask about this poster

Is a heatmap better than showing just your Stockholm Marathon?

Start with a single route. It is easier to read and easier to personalize. If you later upload more files, you can switch to heatmap mode in the editor and compare the two before ordering.

Minimal single color or data driven coloring, which should I choose?

A single bold color reads well from across the room and photographs cleanly for sharing online. Elevation or pace coloring rewards a closer look, it is the kind of detail people notice once they are standing right in front of it.

How much can I edit before I order?

Quite a lot. Map background, route color, line thickness and opacity, every line of text including your name and date, plus size and orientation. Personal photos can be added, and Together Mode combines two accounts if you want two people on one map.
