You ran the cobblestones of Gamla Stan, followed Strandvägen along the water, and finished on the track of a stadium that hosted the 1912 Olympics. That route deserves more than a medal. Turn your Strava data or GPX file into a personalized poster of Scandinavia's most historic marathon finish.

The Stockholm Marathon is the only race in the world where you finish on the track of an Olympic Stadium that is still standing from the original 1912 Games. That is not a generic marathon moment. A custom Strava poster of that exact route, with their finish time and name, is a gift that holds the weight of the occasion.
“The Olympic Stadium finish was the whole reason I chose Stockholm. I wanted something to properly mark it, not just a photo on my phone. This poster is exactly what I had in mind. Ordered the print and it went straight on the wall.”

The race
The adidas Stockholm Marathon is a race built around one of the most extraordinary finish lines in sport: the 1912 Olympic Stadium. The course circles Djurgården island, follows the Strandvägen waterfront, crosses the cobblestones of Gamla Stan, and runs in late June under the long Nordic light when the sun barely sets. It is a race with a sense of occasion that most events simply cannot match.
The race ends on the athletics track of the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1912 Summer Games and still in use today. There is no other marathon finish quite like it.
The course crosses the cobblestone streets of the Old Town and follows the Strandvägen waterfront boulevard, with views across the water toward the archipelago.
Around 20,000 runners from over 100 countries take part every June. The race has been held since 1979 and carries a reputation that extends well beyond Scandinavia.
The route passes Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquet is hosted every December. Running past it in race conditions gives you a different perspective on the building.
The race is held in late June, when the Nordic light stretches through the evening. Runners finish in a warm golden light that is particular to this time of year, this far north.
