Gravel and asphalt alternated, just like small towns and nature reserves. The map shows at a glance where we've been and helps keep the memory of the trip alive."

Behind the Design

Our customization tool allows you to combine individual Strava rides into one big loop. By selecting the Segment color mode, each leg gets its own color, letting the different days of a trip stand out.

My Marathon Preparation

"Having a poster with the course of the marathon is fun and a nice memento, but what truly makes the marathon experience special for me is all the time and effort invested to get to that starting line.

This poster doesn't just represent the race itself; it symbolizes the entire journey. It represents all the easy and hard kilometers, the discovery of favorite and new running routes, lots of smiles and some tears, but in general, it represents a rewarding period of hard work, discipline, and joy."

Behind the Design

To create this look, Jennifer used our customization tool to select the Terrain background layer and a deep Navy Blue for her activity tracks. By using the Heatmap setting, she consolidated over 500km of training data into a single visual, where the most frequent routes naturally stand out. She finished it off with a custom footer label to highlight her total distance.

We are truly fortunate to live in Hawaii where we continuously explore and challenge ourselves on these beautiful islands. To see all of our adventures so far on one gorgeous map is really special and evokes so many memories."

Behind the Design

Together mode in our customization tool allows you to log in with two Strava accounts, automatically finding everything you've done together and combining it onto one map.

With together mode, Lydia and Josh logged more than two years of trail running data. By selecting a Sketchy Map style with blue tracks, they created a map that captures the energy of the Hawaiian islands. They also logged their statistics on the map.

"The Journey is the reward"

"This 12-week marathon training block was about rebuilding with purpose. Coming back from injury, the focus wasn't on chasing the biggest numbers but on showing up consistently, staying healthy, and getting the work done.

There were ups and downs along the way, and not everything went perfectly, but each tough workout, each long and cold Sunday morning reinforced patience and resilience. There was also the joy of committing to a target and to just execute step-by-step.

Most importantly, the block helped me regain confidence in my body and arrive at race day believing I was ready. ."

Behind the Design

Julian focused his map on a specific 12-week timeframe using the date filter in our customization tool. He paired the Terrain background with high-contrast Navy Blue routes to make his progress pop. To give the poster its modern, data-driven feel, he used our custom typography options to overlay his final stats in a pixel-style font.
