Eindhoven has a reputation as one of the fastest marathons in the Netherlands, so a lot of people finishing it want a single clean line showing that specific PB attempt, with the finish time front and center. Heatmap mode makes more sense if you're mapping a full training block through the city rather than just race day.
Since Eindhoven's course is known for being flat, there's not much elevation for data coloring to reveal. A plain color keeps the focus on the route itself, while pace coloring can still show where your pace dropped late in the race, if that's part of the story you want to tell.
