The Amstel Gold Tour packs a lot of short climbs into one route through Limburg, so a single line does a good job of showing that rhythm, the Cauberg and the other bergjes stacked one after another. If you ride the Limburg hills regularly and want to show more than one loop through them, heatmap mode brings in every ride you upload instead of just this one.
With a route built from repeated short, steep sections rather than one long ascent, elevation coloring can actually show the pattern clearly, a string of climbs and descents instead of one gradual line. If you'd rather keep the poster calm and let the shape of the route do the work, a single color still holds up well, especially once you've added a title and finish time.
You can choose the map background, adjust the route color and line thickness, and write your own title instead of the default one. Your name, finish time, and date can be added, distance and elevation gain can be shown or left off, and Together Mode lets you combine two riders' data on one poster if you rode it together.
