Finisher medals are all the same. A custom poster of their exact Amsterdam Marathon route, printed with their name and time, is something else entirely. It is specific to this race, this person, this day. The kind of gift that goes straight up on the wall.
“Ordered this as a gift after my partner finished Amsterdam. I was not sure a poster would land as well as something more tangible, but the print quality genuinely surprised me. She spotted the Amstel section straight away and knew exactly where every part of the route was. It went on the wall the day it arrived.”

The Race
Very few city marathons hold the IAAF Gold Label. Amsterdam is one of them. Around 15,000 runners from 50-plus countries toe the start line inside the Olympic Stadium each October, run south along the Amstel under autumn light, loop through Amsterdam-Zuid, and come back through that tunnel to finish on the track. No other marathon finish in Europe looks or feels quite like it.
One of only a handful of city marathons worldwide to hold the IAAF Gold Label, the highest certification in road racing. Amsterdam sits alongside the world’s biggest races on that list.
Built for the Summer Games of 1928, the Olympic Stadium is where Amsterdam Marathon runners begin and end. Running through the tunnel into the arena is one of the most emotional moments in Dutch running.
The course passes through Vondelpark in the opening kilometres, then follows the Amstel south under orange autumn light through the Amstelpark section before swinging back through Amsterdam-Zuid.
Held each October, Amsterdam pulls an international field of 15,000 runners and fills the streets with supporters. The crowd noise from Vondelpark to the finish is relentless.
Amsterdam does not just host this race. It comes out for it. From the Vondelpark crowds to the noise funnelling through the stadium tunnel, this is what a city marathon is supposed to feel like.
No two GPS traces are identical. Your poster shows the line you actually ran, your exact finishing time, and your name. It is a record of your race, not a generic map of the course.
